Our Story

In 2020, Chris had driven up to New Hampshire to sample what North Conway had to offer and instantly fell in love. Roots, rocks, big slabs, beautiful forest, engaging backcountry terrain, and a local community that seemed to be on the rise and building momentum. After just a few more days of riding, it was obvious he needed to move up here and find a way to use his 20+ years of experience in the bike industry to find a niche for himself. 

Luckily, White Mountain Ski Company had just recently moved into a new location in Jackson, New Hampshire and was eager to grow the bike side of their business, Ride The Whites. Chris joined the team and instantly gained a following of both hard core and beginner riders. His expertise and approachability quickly grew the business. After moving to the basement of the Jackson location to get a little more room for bikes and tools, it was apparent that the success wasn't slowing down and he was on to something really special. In late 2024, we found a small garage in the heart of downtown North Conway, tucked away just a few feet from the hustle and bustle, but at the center of most trail systems in town. Although the space was rough, it was obvious that we needed to take the leap and build a location of our own.

Fast forward to May 2025 and Ride The Whites had a place to call it's own. Although building the space was a massive undertaking, it enabled us to do it exactly how we wanted. Build benches the right height, 3D print tool holders for the pegboard, build cool countertops, and plenty of space to store bikes. The support from the community was immediate and business took right off. Being so close to trails has allowed customers to pedal rentals straight from the shop and increase our personal ride time. Quick missions on e-bikes has become our bread and butter on workdays. 

Our story won't end here as I am sure we will continue to find new ways to bring value to our customers and community. Mountain biking is always evolving and new technologies are constantly created. The beauty of Ride The Whites is that we have the freedom and passion to test new products and expand our knowledge constantly to always bring you the best. The website will continue to have new information about cool rides, routes, sweet builds, and product reviews.
